Shelly Klotz lives in Calgary Alberta, a graduate from the Alberta College of Art with a major in Textiles. Nature is what inspires and delights her. From her grandparent’s farm in Southern Alberta to her favourite West Coast haunts; it is the landscape and the connection between that and herself that calls to be explored. The natural occurrences and patterns within nature and the relationships between them both influence and inspire her.
Shelly's works range from paintings, mixed media, handmade paper and found objects, and fibre. Allowing herself to work intuitively has enabled her to be able to connect with the materials to guide the creative process. Her work ranges from paintings, mixed media, handmade paper and found objects.
